That is correct! At High Plains Bank, we are committed to supporting the financial well-being of our customers and community, a philosophy that translates into our approach to most typical bank fees. Take a look at our complete fee schedule
While every situation is different, in general, you will need the following items to open an account:

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
  • Social Security Number
  • Current Government ID (Driver's License, State ID, U.S. Passport, Permanent Resident Card/Green Card)
  • Physical Address Verification (i.e. utility bill) if current address differs from address on Government ID
Non-Resident Alien
  • Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) Paperwork
  • Current Government ID (Passport, Work Permit, Visa)
  • Physical Address Verification (i.e. utility bill, state ID) 
  • Form W-8 BEN

We have a $5,000 limit on external, bank to bank transfers. However, if you need to transfer a greater amount, contact our team directly for assistance, through our secure chat, or calling us at 1-800-984-0010. 

We no longer offer new Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) because we think there are better long term investment products than a typical CD IRA. If you already have an IRA with us, nothing about your account will change.
