We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Operations Support Assistant to join our Operations Support Team.

Your Mission

Your role is to provide crucial operational support, enabling the organization to effectively serve our customers. By managing and processing complex, time-sensitive transactions and exceptions, you ensure data accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards. This work directly empowers our customer-facing teams to provide better support and handle complex customer issues.

The Day to Day

Your tasks involve managing a heavy workload that requires processing and maintaining a variety of transactions, exceptions, and documents. You will rotate coverage for the team's communication portal, including tickets, emails, phones, and Google Spaces. You will utilize the banking core system, online banking platform, third-party platforms, and Google Workspace. Staying organized and managing time is essential, as many daily tasks are subject to strict deadlines and often interrupted by requests for team support. This role reports to the Director of Operations Support.

What You Bring to High Plains BankQualifications and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of office-type experience

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

  • Basic banking knowledge
  • Ability to maintain organized and accurate records
  • Basic accounting principles
  • Data entry skills
  • Ability to identify errors

Additional Characteristics

  • Ability to work effectively in a shared office space or when working in a separate location from the rest of the team
  • Willingness to travel to Flagler if the primary work location is elsewhere

Responsibilities of the PositionKey Accountabilities

  • Collaborate internally using the Help Center ticketing system, support the team’s communication portal coverage, and drive process improvement.
  • Ensure all tickets contain comprehensive and accurate information to facilitate timely processing
  • Process, update, and maintain various deposit/loan-related transactions, exceptions, and documents within the appropriate platforms
  • Examples include but are not limited to cash letter reports, ACH processes, Fed returns, non-post reports, NSF reports, mobile deposits, and wires
  • Address, process, and resolve deposit payment exceptions and returns promptly within the appropriate platforms
  • This includes processing ACH and check returns, stop payments and mobile deposit exceptions
  • Manage and reconcile internal and 3rd party accounts for payments/reporting
  • Daily Account Reconciliation: GL, DDA, CD
  • EOM Account Reconciliation
  • Investigate, resolve, and document account disputes within the platform, adhering to established protocols.
  • Intake for Debit Card Disputes.

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in rotations for daily work
  • Participate in cross-functional collaboration for improvement, and suggest and research ideas for improvement

Target compensation range

  • $20.00-25.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications - other factors may be considered

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of working on a computer
